Your Flexible Friend?
Want to go to the World Cup in Germany next year? Well you are going to need a Mastercard to buy tickets online.
Yes in an amazing piece of marketing bollocks, event sponsor Mastercard, will only allow you to buy tickets for the World Cup using its credit cards.
A spokesman for the company is trying to justify this kind of greed on BBC Radio Five Live right now and failing badly. He said it was also possible to buy ticket via wire transfer, but they'll charge you something like £30 for this privelage.
As if football wasn't commercialised enough as it is.

Even better than only using Mastercard is that currently it is just a ballot for ticktes. Basically your registering interest in tickets for matches with unknown teams - the lucky few may end up with El Salvador v Albania* The tickets for specific teams go on sale later at a higher price!
* I am not predicting that El Salvador or Albania will or won't qualify for the World Cup.
