Too Sleepy Today
I've got lots to do today, work is extremely busy due to the E3 expo going on in Santa Monica. Thanks to the twins I haven't had to go this year - I really didn't want to - my fear of flying was brought into sharp relief by last year's trip to LA.
Even without my presence there and the show being covered by a colleague that still leaves a lot to do. Add to that my priority of keeping Patpat and Kitty happy and you have one heck of a busy day - at least until 6pm.
I didn't get enough sleep last night. And with the twins wanting a feed at 5am and me getting very little sleep after that I'm feeling pretty burnt out today.
But I always feel that once Wednesday morning is over with the week's back has been broken and it's a downhill run to the weekend. Not that you get weekends off being a parent, but at least I won't be doing my job too. I'll be able to sleep much more.
Another tough aspect of the week is that RJ and I aren't going to be able to see each other until Monday. I believe that's the longest we've gone since we met - eight days - whereas last week we actually saw each other for four out of seven days.
The light at the end of the tunnel is next week when we're going to be able to see each other a lot more, even taking time off from work to take the twins to the seaside. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas wishing the hours away until the weekend is over.
For now we're having to rely on sms messages, email and phone calls to bridge the distance and time between us. Not that I'm complaining, RJ is...well...she knows how I feel. Let's just say we're two happy people right now. There's no point me gushing on here because I'd just make you all feel a bit sick.
Tesco has just brought the weekly air drop of provisions here and actually got the delivery right this week. The delivery includes a huge stack of formula cartons for the twins. The ready to eat stuff is expensive but not having to mess around with powdered formula makes it worth it.
Anyway I'm waffling, back to work.
