Are You Watching Graham Poll?

Now I’ve heard some strange tales in my time, but it seems that Dundee player Andy McLaren has managed a quite remarkable feat of being sent off three times in one match. I kid you not; he received three red cards in a recent Scottish League match against Clyde.
Now we all probably remember Graham Poll managing to book the same player three times during the World Cup, but no on this occasion all three cards were actually issued with intent.
It seems that the referee (aptly named for those who love stereotype names) Dougie McDonald, gave Andy his marching orders after he punched an opposition player receiving his second yellow card in the space of a minute.
Andy left the field in disgust but before he exited the playing area it seems that he punched another Clyde player receiving another red card from Dougie McDonald. The problem was that Andy hadn’t seen the second red card, so Mr McDonald called Andy into his room after the match. Andy reacted violently to the decision by kicking a hole in the door, to which he received his third and final red card.
A lengthy ban is sure to follow, but at least Andy McLaren’s name is another to enter the realms of a pub quiz question.
