I'm Not Loving It

Well I’ve heard it all now, according to today’s Sun, Dietmar Hamann made the decision not to sign for Bolton and to sign for Man City after he went for a burger at McDonalds not far from Bolton’s ground. For those that aren’t aware Hamann signed a contract with Bolton after leaving Liverpool on a free. However, within the space of 1 day (probably a few hours) he decided he wanted to sign for Man City instead, so Bolton agreed to release him (with a £400,000 compensation going to Bolton).
Now The Sun reports that Hamann’s amazing u-turn happened when ordering his Big Mac & Fries (footballers diet eh!). In ordering his burger he was:-
“shocked to discover that he could hardly understand a word any of the locals were saying”.
Is he suggesting Mancs can speak better than the locals in Bolton? How on earth did he cope in Liverpool, let alone when he was at Newcastle – I’ve been to Burger King in Newcastle and struggled to understand what I was being asked and ended up with something completely different to what I thought I’d ordered. It was one of those moments when I stood looked at my brother, both shrugging our shoulders and doing the old foreign tip of pointing and saying ‘one’ very slowly whilst waving a finger around.
