SMS Email Spam

Spam is bad enough without so many friends suddenly deciding to sign up on these SMS web messaging websites. Nearly every day I get an email from someone I once nattered to on MSN Messenger inviting me to join some crappy SMS site they've discovered.

And these emails keep coming - I've had about six or seven from one person. There's no sign of these things abating. If they want to give their email address to some company that's going to spam them forever with pointless tat, fair enough, but I really object to my friends giving my email address to such a company.

So if you are reading this, are one of my messenger contacts and have recently given your contacts book to an SMS site, you are a complete cocktard.

I think it's a particular company called SMS AC that I've had loads of emails about - more annoyingly they seem pestering, I've had several from each contact.

I've never had any spam related to you.

It's more of a problem for contacts I once had on MSN Messenger, don't talk to anymore, in some cases not for years, and yet feel the need to enter my details into their spam creating new online SMS account.
