Simple Pleasures
There are some things of no importance that give us great joy and I've just experienced one of them. An hour ago I popped out to the new local sandwich shop (so local I can see its back door from where I'm sitting right now) to get some lunch. I also bought a cream bun, which is nice.
But the thing is I ate my sandwich and then sat here trying to make my new wireless connection a bit more reliable and getting some work done. An hour as passed. And then I look around and see that I have a cream cake still awaiting my attention. Oh the joy.
Yes it's clearly a slow day here in Essex. It's cold and grey, and there's a slight lingering whiff of oil terminal fire about the air. Mostly I'm a bit bored because the gorgeous L has started her new job today in that London, which means I've had to go without a cuddle since 9am, and these things are important.
Oh well I think I've solved the wireless problems at least. Seems Windows' own wireless networking software was conflicting with the NetGear software I was trying to use. To say I haven't a clue about networking would be an understatement.
Anyway, must go, I have a cream bun to eat.
