Ouch!
Since Christmas day I've been suffering from a rather nasty toothache. Thankfully once my doctor told me I could take paracetamol and ibuprofen at the same time life has become easier, but the fact is I need to get the wonky tooth fixed.
That was brought home to me by the agony I woke up in at half five this morning. Don't get me wrong, I'd have got it fixed as soon as possible, but thanks to Margaret Thatcher your teeth don't count as something the NHS is particularly interested in.
If anything was hurting a few milimetres from the tooth, then the NHS would do its upmost to help. But as it's a tooth, it doesn't matter. And what has our glorious Labour government done about this state of affairs? Sweet F.A.
Well I've had enough now so I'm off to the dentish this afternoon to have the damn tooth pulled out. I've every expectation of this being a pretty horrible experience, but most likely less horrible than the pain I was in this morning before the pills kicked in.
Wish me luck.
