Regular readers, au fait with my usual ranting against blind fundamentalist preachers such as Fred Phelps and Richard Dawkins, are probably wondering where my bitter obit of Jerry Falwell is now he's shuffled off his mortal coil.

After all, Falwell was just the kind of preacher that gets my back up. Given recent events in my own realm and the confusion it has brought to that withered nutmeg I call my spiritual life I really don't have the heart to put the knife into the late fundie preacher.

Falwell may have caused all manner of hurt and suffering to others, but there were people close to him who loved him dearly. Family members will feel a tremendous wrench over his loss and many tears will be shed.

That this won't be a common occurrence outside this smaller circle is of no importance. Right now some people are suffering loss and it is the most terrible thing to go through.

Given time my own pain over my loss will heal and I can get back to being the insignificant but rather angry tick on the arse of fundamentalist stupidity as shown by the Christian right and the increasingly barking Dawkins, but for the moment I really haven't got it in me.
