New Toy for Harry (Part II)

You may remember I recently discussed how L was looking after me and trying to make my work environment a lot safer for me. That meant a new keyboard that's really improved my posture while working.
The other issue was the height of my keyboard. It was way too low. I tried it on my desk rather than the sliding shelf, but moving the CRT monitor to the side really didn't work for me. After two days of neck ache I had to return to having the keyboard low again.
There was just no room on the desk for a CRT monitor with the keyboard in front of it. That is until today when the monitor you see in the above image was delivered. It's a 19" BenQ LCD monitor. My posture is now so much better. But even better is another effect the monitor has had.
I have pretty bad eyesight thanks to a condition called Keratoconus. It does mean I often struggle to see properly without contact lenses. Alas I've no lenses right now – though I see an optician about that next week. However I have to say this monitor is making working so much easier. My eyes feel so less strained.
I'm very happy with the monitor, more for how easy on the eyes it is. I'm sure once I get my new lenses my work environment will be even better. Looks like L's prompting really has made my life a whole lot easier.
