I went on a London Underground journey this morning and I found myself surprisingly nervous. Since the recent criminal attacks on London many people have been wary of using the tube. Both L and I have used it since then, and on the whole I've been fine.

But there are more police at the stations this morning; it makes it feel like there's something going on. There are five police officers at our small suburban tube station this morning, just as many at Mornington Crescent my destination for the journey. As I returned to the station there was the sound of sirens. Three police motorbikes, two cars and a fire engine went whizzing past heading northwards up the Camden Town high street.

And for the first time I was nervous about entering the tube station, despite it being as heavily guarded as it could be. I know why I was so nervous. L and I had a little row last night, well row seems too strong a word, we had just a little disagreement. But like an idiot I didn't sort it out before going to bed and she had gone to work by the time I had got up this morning.

So I had this ridiculous fear that I could get blown up by some criminal scumbag and the last words to my beloved was some daft argument (believe me it's twice removed by time and sensibility to a row worth having) with her. So I sent her a text about where I was, and that I loved her and then heading into the tube.

And of course I got home okay, of course I did. Was daft to think otherwise. But my mind does work overtime on daft things like this.

Of course I've just realised that it's Thursday and the previous attacks were on Thursdays. That explains why there are so many cops out in force today.
