Yesterday was the first really fun day I've had in ages. The little monsters were looked after at lunchtime so I got to go out shopping and indulge in my favourite passtime of purchasing pointless electronic tat. In this case the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player (thanks to some skillful Gamestation trading in) and a few sci-fi movies to watch on it.

The twins were having an especially calm day (for them) yesterday so any of the feeds I did went rather smoothly, it seemed they caught my mood of impending weekend and restful times.

And last night I got to go to the pub with friends, which was fabulous, at least for me. I was the only one drinking and I have to say I did tend to ramble on about all manner of rubbish and everyone was much too polite to tell me to shut the hell up. So I'm feeling a bit embarrassed this morning.

But otherwise rather groovy.

I can hear Patrick having a bit of a half-hearted cry from the other room. He does that, there's nothing wrong, he just likes whinging about stuff - so as you can see, the apple hasn't fallen that far from the tree.

My plan for the weekend is one of relaxation. I've got friends popping over this afternoon. And then later this evening my plans are to watch either Rambo, Serenity or Total Recall on HD-DVD, eat too much pizza and then sleep the sleep of the just.
