I Suppose It's Kind of Funny
When you've got a baby so determined to kick shit all over the place. If it had been on You've Been Framed I'd have laughed.
It was actually a relief that Patrick had actually filled his nappy after 24 hours without doing a poo. But by heck the boy did the whole 24 hours worth in one big go. What a stinking mess.
It was absolutely everywhere, all over his legs and feet. You've got to hand it to nappy makers, it was amazing that the nappy held it all in. He only managed to get covered in the stuff once I was changing him.
As soon as the nappy was coming off he dug a foot into the pile of stink and started creating a piece of abstract art all over the baby changing pad. And me.

Now that's love. I have many fond memories of babies trying to move in their own shiat. My brothers 4 kidlets all had different shades too...and ... the running kind was the worstest!
Your situation though is worse I think than I ever experienced. Perhaps it means he has a very good digestive track.
You know you love babies when you can talk about their shiat.
And remember it from almost 16 years ago! (Duke A is almost 16...)
Dang I am old. Glad to see you are coping Harry. I am praying for you! And I want you to hang in there!
Not just survive...but THRIVE!

Yes everyone will say it gets easier, but you'll feel in those early days that you'll never ever get beyond the sleepless nights, the crying, the nappy changes, the winding, the grumpyness. Stick with it mate, you do have the internal strength that will take you through these days. Break your days up in small achievements, accept all offers of help, sleep when you can and don't feel that asking someone to give you a hand is a sign of failure. Ring me if you want anything, never feel like your facing this on your own - the messages alone on your blog are testiment to the many people who are all there to help you in anyway they can.

And now, Patrick's first attempts at making a complete fool of himself, recorded for posterity so that in 16 years time you can show the blog to his first girlfriend
