I Smell of Poo
Learning to be a mum is proving to be trickier than I thought. Today I went to our community parent and toddler group. I didn't go as the vicar, I went as a mum but within 10 minutes of arriving I was in the chapel praying with someone. I don't mind at all.....but it confirms the suspicion I have that everyone here will always see me as curate first, then mum to the twins.
The rest of the day was great until I decided to cut the twins' fingernails. Another mothering skill I haven't yet mastered. I managed to slice a chunk out of Patrick's thumb which bled and bled and bled.
And of course all the plasters I have in the house are not at all the right size for a six month old. The poor little lamb screamed and screamed until he fell asleep. But even going to sleep was complicated as he managed to throw up his feed as soon as he'd downed it. So now he is crying again poor thing.
But the thing that has bugged me all evening is that something somewhere smells of baby poo and I can't work out what?
I love the twins, I love Harry but blimey - this is the biggest learning curve of my life.

Jo honey you're a wonderful mother and fantastic fiancée, you stink, but you're a great.
I remember when we were at that stage you would be convinced that you could smell poo but could never work out where it was coming from. I think sometimes the smell gets into your nose you can't shift it.
As for cutting finger nails, when they are asleep and after a bath so the nails are softer makes it much easier to do.
Someone Else is now going through the Pungent Aroma Stage!
