Holy Smoke - Top Gear is Evil (Again)
Another series of Top Gear and now another bunch of do-gooding whingers who must tune in on a Sunday evening to find something to get annoyed about.
This week it's the folks at the anti-smoking campaign group ASH. It seems that they believe that the jokey lighting up of some naff Porsche branded pipes on Sunday's show was just really not on.
"Smoking in a studio is illegal. We would hope programme-makers make some form of apology," said a spokeswoman for ASH.
Apology to who exactly? The audience were perfectly happy, no one got hurt (apart from Clarkson) and it was all in good fun.
Perhaps ASH wants the BBC to apologise to the imaginary children of the nation who saw three badly-dressed balding men light a pipe and thought, "I've got to get me some of the pipe smoking action."
Get a bloody grip please.
