Hats Off to the DVLA
I took my old driving license to the Post Office in North Finchley last week for checking. Since I have moved address and because my old paper license was falling apart, I needed a new one.
Well only one week later and my new license has arrived in the post this morning. As is traditional, the photograph is quite horrifically bad, but hey ho, par for the course.
I requested it now mainly because the old one was falling apart and not much use to go hire a car - which I was planning to do next month. That would have cost me money though. But thanks to my change of address the new photo-license was free. I just had to pay £4 at the Post Office for checking my documents.
Anyway, as I said, I'm really impressed that it's only taken a week to send me a new license.
