Happy Birthday you old bugger! Was talking about you the other day and that evening we spent in that pub near the Bus Station drinking whiskey - that was one hell of a good pub.

Cheers mate. I remember that evening very well. A great pub and an excellent range of whiskeys that we tried.

That was the best bit about the evening - we remember it!!! You can almost taste the peaty/smokey flavours now - seem to also recollected that it was a half decent jukebox and one they didn't give you back your 10p when you put Kashmir on! =o)

Can you remember what the pub is called? I think I shall have to visit it again next time I'm in Lancaster.

It is called The Bobbin, not sure it was called that when we went in, must have changed hands. Having had a shuftie on Google it seems they have real ale and is a favourite stopping off point before something called The Dark Place (wonder if it is like the Garden at Morecambe or as bad as The Alex when it had its rock nights!!).

That name (The Bobbin) rings a bell actually. So maybe it is the original name.

The Garden! What a special place that was. Considering the number of ugly trolls in there I'd guess the club was located under a bridge.
