Fixing a Wedding
Both L and I have become very stressed of late due to our plans for our wedding going awry. Being made redundant last week by the sinking ship that is one of my clients and problems L has had getting a new job (she actually got a great new job but Brentwood NHS is staffed by jobsworths and wouldn't let her start without certain references that she couldn't get for reasons beyond her control) had left us wondering how we were going to put a wedding together at all.
It's been a huge stress to be honest and the wedding was just becoming a millstone around our neck. To the point where neither of us wanted to think about the wedding very much and got upset when people started telling us what they think we should do. We're flat broke now I've been screwed over by that client and our biggest concern is going to be paying the bills for the next couple of months.
Thankfully though I've had a brainwave. It's nothing major, but once I'd got it clear in my mind and was able to explain everything to L she liked it too. In fact she said I've now fixed the wedding. Now we're both looking forward to our September wedding again and not feeling as stressed about exactly how much we can afford. I'm not going to explain everything here just yet, I just wanted to explain how we'd both come to struggle with thinking of our wedding and now we're feeling much better about everything.
The wedding is going to go ahead pretty much as we'd planned in September. It's just the way we're looking at it and how we'll sort out paying for it that has changed. In two weeks time we'll be sending out the invitations to our 80 honoured guests and they will be the first people to read our thoughts and plans for the event. I'm putting together an information pack for them all telling them how to get to our part of Essex, where to stay, where to eat and other such local information. It'll also explain our plan and philosophy that I've come up with to make it a wonderful day that both L and I are really looking forward to sharing with those that matter to us most.
