Day Two - And All’s Well
I seem to be coping with L’s absence much better today. She phoned me earlier from Skegness and it sounded like she was enjoying herself at Spring Harvest. I wouldn’t say I’ve had an entirely productive day, but I’ve got to the fourth level of songs on Guitar Hero on Medium, messed around with Flight Sim and looked like a total noob in the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.
But I think I’ve reached the part of the day when I’m wondering what on earth I’m going to do this evening. I feel a bit played-out with games. I’ve some work to do, but I really could do with having a rest today. I've had a pretty hard week.
I’ll probably watch The Manchester Passion on BBC3 tonight, a version of the Easter story told through the music of Manchester. It’s a shame I couldn’t be there for the gig as it looks pretty cool. My suspicion is that when I watch this I’ll get all homesick for Manchester, to add to missing L so much.
Seeing as I’ve done the mountain of washing up, I expect it’s time for me to make some more. If only I could decide what I’d like for my dinner. But there’s a gorgeous early-evening sky outside my window and for the moment I’m content to sit here listening to the new The Gathering album and watching the sun go down.
Yes I do realise that these “pining for L” blog entries are getting dull already and this is only my second one. But I’ve a few topics I’ve been thinking about so perhaps I’ll have a proper update for you later.
