We're a lot more comfortable investing £15 in a hair cut down here - much less chance of it being ruined by rain or snow.

And don't go believing you're in the south - Essex is still up north. From down here (in the true south), anyone north of the post office is a foreigner

I imagine once one gets as far south as you shandy is mostly lemonade that's been left in a room near some beer.

Beer's still banned - has been since prohibition. We're cider drinkers down here (diluted with lemonade obviously - made from own own lemon crops)
