Bloody Hell It's Cold

Strutting and fretting...signifying nothing

I've just been on a trip over to Hammersmith and back and believe me it's certainly cold in London today. Every time the tube door opened on the Hammersmith & City Line train a wall of freezing cold air wafter in.

It was a very interesting trip to meet with some folks at 2K Games regarding a certain forthcoming game for PC and Xbox 360, though I can't say any more than that because I've signed an NDA and have had to leave a kidney with them, which I'll get back if I don't break the press embargo.

Anyway, £20 to get to London from Brentwood and cross the city to Hammersmith. I'm not that old yet I can remember when the London to Manchester train fair wasn't much more than that.

I've not been home very long but I've had to content with a problem with my PC. Been having a recurring problem that sometimes explorer crashes when I log-in to my account. I've not really found a solution to this, just have to keep rebooting until it works.

And there we go, that's some waffle from a rather chilly me, sat next to the radiator, trying to get warm and about to start some work.

I've had fun and games with my work laptop and internet connection today. The DNS server wouldn't resolve certain addresses and I couldn't run ipconfig/release from a command prompt. It turns out for some reason that my lappy has been set on a static IP and manual DNS which were well out of date. Took 4 hours for IT to suss that

It's freezing cold here too, even with a heater on the desk next to me, pointed directly at me not 4 feet away and a hot water bottle placed strategically under my freezing feeties it's still cold here.

/dreaming of Jamaican beaches in October where I'll be demanding iced drinks and complaining that it's too hot.../

I have the window open here as it is far too hot, infact the thermometer in one of the rooms is reading 30C!!
