Big Cook Little Cook
My beloved wife has set me a rather difficult task, I'm supposed to be writing this blog post without using any nasty words. So I'll try. Maybe I'll have to make up some new ones.
Our children do get to watch a little bit of TV and one of their favourite shows is Big Cook Little Cook. Now we can cope with a lot of Cbeebies; the Night Garden is great, we enjoy Space Pirates and wifey thinks Bob the Builder's Big Fish, Little Fish, Cardboard Box song to be a work of genius.
However Big Cook Little Cook is about as annoying as television can get. Our feelings can be summed up by the fact we've just been sat on the sofa discussing in all seriousness which one of the cooks we'd most like to punch in the face.
It's my contention the ginger speccy runt is the one that should have violence dealt on him first, especially for the egomania of his stories and his continue enjoying of the strange food bukkake fetish that emerges when anything messy is being mixed.
My wife on the other hand believes that Big Cook's over acting and particularly his slow-motion kung-fu style dancing is worthy of a smack around the chops.
While there may be many reasons to hate the show my current anger is being directed at the phrase "your grown-up helper". Because we can't possibly suggest children have a mummy and daddy anymore can we?

As for BCLC, no-one in the Jimbo household is a fan infact I'd go so far as to say that Nick1 / 2 are the preferred channels, featuring the simply quite superior Peppa Pig, Fifi and the Flowertots and Wonderpets..."the phone, the phone is ringing, the phone, we'll be right there, the phone, the phone is ringing, there's an animal in trouble, there's an animal in twuble, there's an animal in trouble somewhere"
Or as the song calls it, 'Big fish, little fish, cardboard box.'
I haven't deleted it, it just doesn't appear on the menu.
